|
Febuary 17, 2020 Concept Protein research in Thailand has developed greatly over the last 20 years, leading to the foundation of the Protein Society of Thailand (PST) in 2006. In 2017, M.R. Jisnuson Svasti provided an endowment to PST to establish the Outstanding Protein Scientist of Thailand Award (Outstanding PST Award) and the Young Protein Scientist Award (Young PST Award) to recognize outstanding researchers in protein science and promote protein research. Recipients of the Outstanding PST Award include Professor James Ketudat Cairns (2017) and Professor Pimchai Chaiyen (2019). The “M.R. Jisnuson Svasti Young Protein Scientist of Thailand Award” was introduced in 2018 to promote recognition of young protein scientist(s) in Thailand with excellent research record and was given to Associate Professor Kunlaya Somboonwiwat and Assistant Professor Thanyada Rungrotmongkol. In 2020, it is once again time to recognize outstanding young protein scientists in Thailand with the M.R. Jisnuson Svasti Young Protein Scientist of Thailand Award. |
