The Protein Society of Thailand is pleased to announce the 2022 Professor M.R. Jisnuson Svasti Young Protein Scientist of Thailand Award to be given jointly to Associate Professor Dr. Varodom Charoensawan of Mahidol University and Dr. Chayasith Uttamapinant of Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC) for their outstanding research and contributions to development of protein science in Thailand.

The Young PST Award is awarded every two years to young scientists (under 40 years old) who have published excellent research and contributed to protein science in their institutions and in Thailand in general. Associate Professor Dr. Varodom Charoensawan has focused his research in “A Systems Biology Approach” related to evolution, expression and functions of regulatory proteins, while Dr. Chayasith Uttamapinant has focused his research in “Development of chemical and synthetic biology technologies,” which makes use of engineered enzymes and proteins. The Protein Society of Thailand is proud to be able to honor these outstanding scientists.

The awards and honorary lectures by the awardees will be presented at the 17^th International Symposium of the Protein Society of Thailand to be held the 9^th to 11^th of November 2022 at Khum Kham International Convention Centre Chiang Mai in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
